Joanne Davies
Manager.
BA HONS. Level 6
Designated safeguarding officer
Fire officer
Health and safety designated officer.
Training - level 3 safeguarding, food safety and hygiene, paediatric first aid, safer recruitment and DSL.
Joanne has been with the nursery since 1999.
Gaynor Garcia
Deputy Manager
BA HONS Level 6
(SENCO) Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator
In the absence of manager - designated safeguarding officer, fire officer, health and safety designated person.
Training - Safer recruitment, food safety and hygiene, level 3 safeguarding.
Gaynor has been with the nursery since 2002.
Shayla Siddall
Shayla has recently joined our team and is based in the under-2s area alongside Ellie and Serena. Shayla is working towards her level 2 qualification in childcare through the government apprenticeship scheme (September 2025).
Training- Safeguarding Children level 3, food safety and hygiene, peadiactric first aid..
Ellie Clark
Ellie is a level 5 practitioner. She is currently our under-2s lead and is based in the Babyroom. In the absence of the Manager and Deputy Manager Ellie is the named person in charge.
Training - food safety and hygiene, peadiactric first aid, level 3 safeguarding, maths for early years.
Ellie is the student liaison officer and has been with the nursery since 2014.
Serena Evers
Serena is a level 3 practitioner who began her time with us as a student. She has now has been employed with us since 2018 and is based in the baby room. Serena is our Healthy Foundations Co-ordinator leading the setting towards maintaining our gold award accreditation.
Training - food hygiene, Makaton, level 3 safeguarding.
Evie Booth
Evie began her apprenticeship with us in November 2021 and is based in the toddler room and supports Serena in the baby area. She has recently passed her Level 2 and is working towards Level 3.
Training- Safeguarding Children level 3, Food Safety and Hygiene.
Wendy Wallace
Wendy is a level 6 practitioner and holds a Bachelor of Education qualification. She began working with us in November 2022 and is based in the Nursery Room (3-4 year olds), where we are preparing children to be 'school ready'.
Training- Safeguarding Children level 3, Food Safety and Hygiene.
Tracey Dawson
Tracey is a level 3 childcare practitioner,
food safety and hygiene, level 3 safeguarding.
Tracey has been in the nursery since 1999 and is based in the nursery room. Tracey is also the Early years language lead.

Katie Booker
Katie started her time here as a student and is now a practitioner in the toddler room. She currently is working towards her level 3 qualification.
Training- level 3 safeguarding
Katie has been in the nursery since 2019.
Karen Bond
Karen is our Administration Officer, she began working with us in February 2022 and is often the first contact parents have with the setting. Her duties include keeping registers, invoices and books up to date.
Training- Safeguarding Children level 2, Food safety and hygiene
Amber Firth
Amber is a level 3 practitioner who began working with us in September 2025. She is based in the Nursery Room with our 3 and 4-year-olds and has experience working with children with Special Educational Needs.
Training- SENCo, Autism, Safeguarding Children level 3, Paediatric first aid, Food safety and hygiene
Gill Fuller
Gill is a level 3 childcare practitioner based in our toddler room. She has recently qualified as a (SENCO) Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator
Gill has been with the nursery since 2018.
Training- Paediatric first aid, level 3 safeguarding, safety and hygiene for catering

Grace Crawford
Grace began her apprenticeship with us in September 2024 and is training towards her level 2 in Childcare. She has completed level 2 in both Safeguarding Children and Food Safety and Hygiene. Grace is based in the toddler room but also supports Serena in the baby area.
Natalie Booker
Natalie is our lunchtime attendant and domestic assistant.
She has been with the nursery since Spring 2025.
Training- Food safety and hygiene for catering level 2.
Niamh Hartley
Niamh is a level 3 practitioner and is based in the toddler room. She began working with us in September 2025.
Training- Safeguarding Children level 3, Paediatric first aid, Food safety and hygiene

All the staff have safeguarding training and senior staff attend DSL training every 2 years.
All staff are registered with Ofsted and hold enhanced DBS checks.
All staff are trained in Child Protection and all senior staff attend core group 3 safeguarding courses updated every two years. All staff hold food hygiene certificates.
We work closely with local schools and colleges and offer placement for childcare students.
The manager and deputy are responsible for Health and Safety.
